Haven’t updated in a while. I’m lazy. Since the last post I’ve done gone to Bermuda, Washington D.C. and probably some other stuff, but those are the major things.

Last night Amanda, Ashley and myself went and saw WALL-E. I really liked it. The first 1/2 hour or so doesn’t have any dialog, it’s just music and sound effects. The whole movie is great though, and I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

A couple days ago, I was browsing through movie trailers over on Apple’s trailer site and watched a few trailers.  Some I’d seen before and there were several new ones that looked interesting to me.  One new one I  hadn’t watched was Lakeview Terrace.  The trailer impressed me and made me want to watch the movie when it comes out, tilllll….the entire movie was given away in one scene.  Now I’m all about having a trailer that’s exciting and draws people into the movie, but giving away the entire plot is just stupid.  Here’s the link to the trailer.  At 1:13 everything just goes to crap.  It sounds like a racial problem is about to b brought up, but then, the color blue is brought up.  The dude’s a cop.  OH NO!  Now why did they do this?  Do I want to see the movie now?  I now know the entire reason that this guy’s able to mess with his new neighbors.  Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to try and figure out what the reason for the movie is?  They so could have totally pulled off the trailer without giving away that the guy’s a cop and the neighbor is pretty much helpless against that.  I’m now probably not going to go see this as I feel like I’ve seen pretty much the whole thing.  Part of the going to the theater to watch a movie is the suspense of not knowing what’s going to happen to the characters, especially in a thriller/drama/suspense movie.  I feel like I just got jipped on this one, luckily there was no cost involved.

Who else feels this way about giving away movies?

I have a bunch of flowers in my yard. No I didn’t plant them, they were already growing when I made the purchase. I’m going to be lazy and not post the pics in here, it takes to long and the formatting can get stupid.

Okay, after discussion with Ashley earlier today, it has officially been determined that Aloysius Snuffleupagus is totally weird.  You may know him from his days on Sesame Street, but that dude seriously is is odd.  It’s a talking hairy elephant.  Does anyone else feel this way about this character?  Please comment.

Ergh….right now it feels like Superman punched me in the throat during my slumber, I feel like total crap.  I have no idea what would cause this feeling, unless someone actually did punch me in the throat, which might have happened.

That guy on the cover is trying to punch the other dude in the throat, there’s just a helmet in the way.

In other news, I’m trying some new GIS software called uDig.  We’ll see how this works out, it feels really weird using GIS on a Mac.

It also looks like WordPress has changed it’s posting pages, everything looks different and maybe easier to use?  I also lost my foxytunes plug-in the put the song I’m listening to in my post, blah…

I’ve seriously been neglecting this thing for a while, and for good reason. Busyness has completely taken control of me as of late. I really don’t have much to talk about as most of my time has been spent working on stuff at the house or at work or hanging out with Ashley (which is my fave part).

Just because, I’ll post a pic of me post crashing (I had stopped completely by this time) on my bike today. Today definitely took the cake as to how many crashes have occurred at any given time. Took the camera with me, and determined that this was THE LAST TIME the camera takes a trip on the trail, I hurt from it. 1st crash - camera bag decides to roll in front of me, so I try fixing, end up slamming into a tree with my left arm/shoulder, bruise happens. 2nd crash - over the handlebars, who knew the front brake would lock up so quickly, and that my bike would stand up by itself afterwards. 3rd - (pic included) take the jump, same front brake problem, oh my! Things I learned today: New brakes have WAY more grip than the last ones that were nearly 3 years old. Today was seriously fun despite the crashes and having to ride one-handed for a good portion of the trail so the camera wouldn’t cause another crash.  And yes, I am grimacing in the image, but when you check out the gallery, you’ll notice I’m laughing in seconds.  Yes, stupid.

Quick answer, no.

I haven’t updated in a while, that’s a given, but there’s good reason behind all of it.  I haven’t had internet access from the new house, and haven’t had time at the old one to really type anything.  And there’s no way I’ll be trying to type in a blog post at work, that just wouldn’t work.  I’m using my parents computer, that used to be mine, to type out this post.

So I haven’t forgotten and definitely haven’t given up on this thing yet.  The next post will have before and after pictures from the new house.  We’ve been constantly working (i.e. painting, pulling up carpet, cleaning, repeat) on it, and it’s finally showing goodness.  There’s a few things left to do, but it will hopefully be “completed” soon so we can relax.

I  can’t begin to thank my girlfriend and family enough for the help that they’ve provided during the past [crazy] week, all of them are truly special people.  So until next time…don’t forget to floss.
